Protection against the Enemy – 2 Corinthians 2:11

We should not ignore that we have and enemy that always wants to take us away of God’s will.
Our enemy is predictable. His temptations follow a pattern
1. Desire – he identifies a desire within us. A desire for revenge or legitimate desire to be loved and feel pleasure.
Then: He suggests that we should fulfil that desire in a wrong way. If we didn’t have a desire, we wouldn’t have temptation.
James 4:1-3
2. Doubt – He tries to puts in you related to sin! Is it wrong? How come other people do? Doesn’t God want you to be happy? In Hebrews we are warned: “Watch out!!! Don’t let your evil thoughts or doubts make any of you turn away from the living God. Hebrews 3:12
3. Deception – Satan is a liar. He’s the father of lies. (John 8:44, but. Anything that he says is untrue or half-true. He also says: _” Nobody will ever know. It will solve your problems… It’s a little sin. Sin is like pregnancy, it will show up one day.
4. Disobedience – If you carry a thought for a long time, you will give birth to behaviour. People become alcoholic or addicted after one more drink or dose. James 1:14.
How are we going to overcome temptation? Being closer to God.
• Satan knows your potential and will attack you.
• When you are praying, he will try to distract you
• He will try to keep you away of your Bible reading

1. Identify your patterns – “When am I tempted? When we are tired we are more vulnerable, alone, bored, depressed, we’ve been hurt, angry, worried or after a big success or spiritual victory – Proverbs 16:17
2. Request God’s help! Call on me on time of trouble – Psalms 50:15

Let His word enrich your lives and make you wise … Colossians 3:16

Reading, receiving, researching and reflecting on God’s words are useless if we don’t become “doers” of the word – James 1:22-23
This is the hardest step as satan fights intensively to takes far way of this truth.
We can become very busy to remember to do what we learned yesterday. Most of don’t remember on Monday what was preached on Sunday service.
Jesus said that everyone who hears His words and puts them into practice is like a wise man who builds his house on the rock. Matthew 7:24
The blessings come when we obey the truth, not only know it. John 13:17
Why do we avoid personal application?
• It’s difficult, sometimes painful
• The truth set us but it can be painful in the beginning.
God’s word:
• exposes our motivations, our failures
• rebukes our sins and demands changes
We learn from others truths that we would never learn from our own.
We need to be in unity with other brothers and sisters:
• to learn and teach.
• To share what God has spoken to us
• To be corrected
• To be encouraged
• To check what we have learned
The Bible was not given to us to increase our knowledge but to change our lives. God doesn’t want doctors in theology but doers of His word.
What did the Bible say about the word?
• They are life. John 6:63
• They are essential as food. Job 23:12
• They don’t fail. I Peter 2:22, Matthew 4:4
• They are solid. I Corinthians 3:2
• They are sweet. Psalms 119:103
• If we abide in His words, we are His disciples. NOT IN TRADITTION – John 8:31
• There’s no failure in God’s words.
• We should read it every day. Deuteronomy 17:19
• We should consider carefully how we listen. Luke 8:18

Lack of Anything

Lack of anything – February 6, 2011

God loves men so much that He doesn’t want us to have lack of anything. Deuteronomy 8:9
God took the Israelites out of a place of “not enough”.
In Egypt they: were slaves, had no power, were forced to depend on Pharaoh for everything.
But God wants to be free. If necessary, God will send animals to feed us. I King 17:4-6.
God provided for the Israelite what they needed for each day; no more nor less. Numbers 11.
God wants us to trust in Him, to depend on Him. We have to learn to trust in God who is our provider.
When we have “a lot”, we have a tendency to trust in what we have and not in the one who has given us what we have.
“Just enough” gives us a tenacity to keep moving towards better things.
He brought them (the Israelites) to the land of “more than enough”, to the abundance.
Jesus said: “I came so that you have abundant live”. John 10:10
If you aren’t living abundant life, if your life isn’t full of joy, peace … you need to know that God’s goal is to give you everything you need – The only thing needed is to trust in Jesus.
In Matthew 6:33 Jesus said:”_ Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all this things will be given to you as well.
We have to believe that God will give us what we need if we trust in Him. This is called faith.
Let’s go back to 17:9-16. A widow should be fed by someone, not to feed someone, but that was what God asked her to do…
There was no hope for her, but death… but when she trusted, her life was changed.

Our lives are a direct result of the values that have fashioned us.
Let me explain this: Edgar is a football supporter so it is very common to see him wearing Teams T shirts, even teams he doesn’t like, just to show he likes football. He spends a lot of money buying T shirts, shorts, football boots, games and etc. He is a sports man.
The values we carry in our hearts are important and leads (guides) us in the way we live.
James said: “We are in a process of transformation and we must be linked to God all the time, to have our values changed and to be strong.”
In James 1:4 we read: “Perseverance is the key word for our lives to be changed to what God is.”
Our perseverance will be:
• An anchor – Without values we are adrift; we are sent from one side to another and overtaken by the storms of life. But with God’s value we have an anchor to hold strongly.
• Your values will be always with you and they will never let you behind.
• Your compass – Seasons change, relationships change, circumstances change and even goals change but not values… People (even believers) can say you are a foolish person because you live by faith. They will try to lower your standards saying that just going to Sunday services is enough…
We have to centre our lives in God and His patterns.
“Faith is the heart of life”, someone said.
We have to draw near to God and He will draw near to us. James 4:8
You go to a doctor whose name you don’t know, who gives you a prescription you cannot read, then, you take it to a pharmacist you don’t know either and gives you a medication you don’t understand and “ you take it”. This is faith.
Unbelief put circumstances between us and God. Faith puts God between us and our circumstances.
How can you and I improve our faith then? How can we draw near to God?
In Romans 10:17 says that “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God.”
The deeper is your faith in God, the greater is the potential to carry you through the rough times.
We can ask the Lord to increase our faith. In Luke 17:5 the apostles said:”Increase our faith.”
To increase our faith we have to increase the ground we are stepping in. We have to know more the one we are serving and become more like Him.

Faith that changes lives.
Sometimes we feel that our faith is going out. We are about to lose a battle.
Faith is like a muscle, the more you use it, the stronger it becomes.
David was continuously hounded by his enemies. Even when he was anointed to set the throne, but Saul (the old king) was still there.
What did he say, then? Check please on Psalm 4:3, 4:8, and when he was hidden in the cave. Psalms 57:1
S. Felix of Nola was running way from his enemy and ended up in a cave. While there, a spider began to weave a web across the small opening, sealing it off and making it look like nobody had been inside for months. As a result, his enemy didn’t check inside. When he stepped out he declared: “_ Where God is, a spider web is a wall.”
People or circumstance can disappoint you or me, but if Jesus is with us, how can we lose? Romans 8:37.
When Job lost all his properties, his children, his house … what did he do?
“He fell on the ground and worshipped God. Job 1:20
He decided to trust God. He knew God would see him in the middle of all his problems and would rescue him. Job 23:10
He knew what to do: keep going on God’s ways.
God Himself will fight for us. II Chronicles 20:17. We have to keep still and wait.
When we walk by faith we try God’s provision. Remember Elijah being supported by the ravens and then by a widow? I Kings 17:4. He had faith to that widow that she wouldn’t die if she trusted the Lord.
And she trusted, she became free of death and the famine would kill her and her son.
What about us? Paul said in Ephesian 3:12. We go beyond by faith. In the verse 16 it’s written that the Holy Spirit would strengthen us and be complete.
When people have faith they have their lives changed:
• Noah was a farmer and became the best ship engineer builder.
• Abram a childless businessman with no hope to have his own heir and tried to save his neck n by lying and compromising his wife safety became the father of a big nation.
• Raab was a prostitute and she was saved then included on the Israelite’s generation. She became the mother of David.
• The great men of the Bible were human just like us. They believed and God could use them to change entire generations.
He will do the same with us if we simply believe. Hebrews 11:33-34

When there is no vision

Where there is no vision, we perish – Proverbs 29:18 – 08/03/11
Everybody ends up somewhere but only a few end up somewhere on purpose. You have to have a goal, a target. Nobody leaves home without a destination.
We start our lives with a purpose – our parents had a goal for us. Then when we grow up, we start living life the way it comes, no destination. That’s why some people never finish what they have started.
A vision gives us a meaning, a reason for living.
A vision with courage to follow through increases your chances of coming to the end of life with satisfaction. You look back and can say you have succeeded.
You can say “I finished well, I made the difference.”
Without a vision you have a feeling that your life was good for nothing.
Our vision must be God’s vision. What’s God’s vision?
Jesus said: “My vision (my will) is to fulfil God’s plan.
What’s God’s plan? To have many children like His son Jesus Christ, to save the world.
Please read: John 4:34 – John 5:30 – John 6:38 and I John2:17
A vision gives us:
• passion – It shows us what is to come
• Motivation – because of what could be – a dream fulfilled.
• Direction – without vision “good things” avoids us to get “great things”. People who don’t have a vision keep changing direction. They don’t have a spiritual, relational, financial or moral compass. They make decisions that rob them of their dreams.
• Purpose – a vision gives you a reason to get out of bed in the morning. If you don’t show up, something important will not happen. Suddenly your life matters a lot.
In democracy every person has the right to dream his/her own dreams about the future, but at the cross, we are tied to Jesus dream. (I Corinthians 6:19-20)
Our heart is going to beat at “Jesus beat” that is fulfilling God’s plan which is having children to the Lord.
We were created to do God’s will. Ephesians 2:10, 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Galatians 6:15.
Your talents, experiences, opportunities aren’t to please yourselves, but to please God.
What’s our direction? Psalms 119:113
God will help you. Philippians 1:6
Let’s keep focused in the vision. Philippians 3:15

God has always had a plan for your life – You are not useless – Ephesians 1:11
His ways can be in holiness – Psalms 77:13 or in storms – verse 19
Enoch walked with God and God took him – Genesis 5:22
Jonah ran away from God – Jonah 2:1
It doesn’t matter where you are, you can call God at any situation. He will hear you.
Each one of us was separated and necessary for God – I Corinthians 12:22-28 and 14:18
God delights on you (your talents) and wants to use them.
God will call you to do His will. We have to listen to His Holy Spirit. I Corinthians 12:6
When we try to do something God didn’t tell us, it becomes like a prison. It brings anxiety, you get tired, disappointed.
God will never call you to do something you are not able to do …
He will always help you to go beyond what you think because He wants to show His power through you.
But we can’t forget to watch out. I Corinthians 16:13
a) Be alert! The enemy is out to get you. The enemy is here to destroy and to kill you. It tried to do it with Jesus and it will try to do it with you and I, but the deposit of God is open for us.
b) Stand firm in the faith! We cannot stand on our circunstances or the opinions of others – Things change. Stand on God’s word.
c) Act like men, not like a child. We have to grow up. Don’t repeat the same mistakes
d) Be strong! Weakness is an invitation to your enemy. It always precedes surrender. God has given us the Promised Land, but we will have to fight for it. He promised to be with us. II Corinthians 12:8-10 and Psalms 32:8-11

The Old Phone on the wall

Pr. Harry sent me this email and I really enjoyed...

THE OLD PHONE ON THE WALL.

When I was a young boy, my father had one of the first telephones in our neighborhood.. I remember the polished, old case fastened to the wall. The shiny receiver hung on the side of the box. I was too little to reach the telephone, but used to listen with fascination when my mother talked to it.

Then I discovered that somewhere inside the wonderful device lived an amazing person. Her name was "Information Please" and there was nothing she did not know. Information Please could supply anyone's number and the correct time.

My personal experience with the genie-in-a-bottle came one day while my mother was visiting a neighbor. Amusing myself at the tool bench in the basement, I whacked my finger with a hammer, the pain was terrible, but there seemed no point in crying because there was no one home to give sympathy.

I walked around the house sucking my throbbing finger, finally arriving at the stairway. The telephone! Quickly, I ran for the footstool in the parlor and dragged it to the landing. Climbing up, I unhooked the receiver in the parlor and held it to my ear.

"Information, please" I said into the
Mouthpiece just above my head.

A click or two and a small clear voice spoke into my ear.

"Information."

"I hurt my finger..." I wailed into the phone, the tears came readily enough
Now that I had an audience.

"Isn't your mother home?" came the question.

"Nobody's home but me," I blubbered.

"Are you bleeding?" the voice asked.

"No,"
I replied. "I hit my finger with the hammer and it hurts."

"Can you open the icebox?" she asked.

I said I could.

"Then chip off a little bit of ice and hold it to your finger," said the voice..

After that, I called "Information Please" for everything.. I asked her for
Help with my geography, and she told me where Philadelphia was. She helped me with my math.

She told me my pet chipmunk that I had caught in the park just the day before, would eat fruit and nuts.

Then, there was the time Petey, our pet canary, died. I called,

Information Please," and told her the sad story.. She listened, and then said things grown-ups say to soothe a child. But I was not consoled. I asked her, "Why is it that birds should sing so beautifully and bring joy to all families, only to end up as a heap of feathers on the bottom of a cage?"

She must have sensed my deep concern, for she said quietly, " Wayne , always remember that there's another world to sing in."

Somehow I felt better.

Another day I was on the telephone, "Information Please."

"Information," said in the now familiar voice. "How do I spell fix?"

I asked.

All this took place in a small town in the Pacific Northwest . When I was nine years old, we moved across the country to Boston . I missed my friend very much.
"Information Please" belonged in that old wooden box back home and I
Somehow never thought of trying the shiny new phone that sat on the table in the hall. As I grew into my teens, the memories of those childhood conversations never really left me..

Often, in moments of doubt and perplexity I would recall the serene sense of security I had then. I appreciated now how patient, understanding, and kind she was to have spent her time on a little boy.

A few years later, on my way west to college, my plane put down in Seattle . I had about a half-hour or so between planes. I spent 15 minutes or so on the phone with my sister, who lived there now. Then without thinking what I was doing, I dialed my hometown operator and said, "Information Please."

Miraculously, I heard the small, clear voice I knew so well.

"Information."

I hadn't planned this, but I heard myself saying,

"Could you please tell me how to spell fix?"

There was a long pause. Then came the soft spoken answer, "I guess your finger must have healed by now."

I laughed, "So it's really you," I said. "I wonder if you have any
Idea how much you meant to me during that time?"

I wonder," she said, "if you know how much your call meant to me.

I never had any children and I used to look forward to your calls."

I told her how often I had thought of her over the years and I asked if I could call her again when I came back to visit my sister.

"Please do", she said. "Just ask for Sally."

Three months later I was back in Seattle . A different voice answered,

"Information."
I asked for Sally.

"Are you a friend?" she said.

"Yes, a very old friend," I answered.

"I'm sorry to have to tell you this,"She said. "Sally had been working part time the last few years because she was sick. She died five weeks ago."

Before I could hang up, she said, "

Wait a minute, did you say your name was Wayne ?" "

Yes." I answered.

"Well, Sally left a message for you.

She wrote it down in case you called.

Let me read it to you."

The note said,

"Tell him there's another world to sing in.

He'll know what I mean."

I thanked her and hung up. I knew what Sally meant.

Never underestimate the impression you may make on others..

Whose life have you touched today?

Why not pass this on? I just did....

May you find the joy and peace you long for.

Life is a journey... NOT a guided tour.

"Em todo o tempo ama o amigo e para a hora da angústia nasce o irmão." Provérbios 17:17
"Já vos não chamarei servos, porque o servo não sabe o que faz o seu senhor; mas tenho-vos chamado amigos,..." João 15:15

Quantos amigos de verdade você tem?

Para quantas pessoas você pode dizer tudo o que sente e pensa, sem medo de ser julgado ou ridicularizado?

E quantos são os que dizem toda a verdade a seu respeito, por mais dolorosa que seja, simplesmente por amarem você e desejarem vê-lo bem?

Estes são nossos amigos verdadeiros – e eles não são muitos. Não são os que estão conosco enquanto temos os que lhes oferecer; amigos são aqueles que estão ao nosso lado simplesmente porque gostam de nós. E pronto!

É impressionante pensar que Jesus chama seus seguidores de amigos e não de servos. Jesus fez um upgrade em nossa relação com ele.

E mais: por amizade e amor ele entregou sua própria vida (João 15.13).

Você teria a coragem de morrer por algum amigo seu?

Como você consideraria um amigo que tivesse essa coragem? Pois bem, Jesus teve!

Ele é o melhor amigo que alguém pode ter!

A amizade é uma das relações mais frutíferas e indispensáveis ao ser humano. Quem não tem amigos é uma pessoa incompleta, pois não encontra no outro o espelho de que necessita para se enxergar melhor e, assim crescer!

Amigos têm prazer em conviver, partilhar, realizar projetos, dar risadas, relembrar o passado, projetar o futuro, não há segredos.
É assim a sua relação com Deus?

Tão prazeirosa e bonita quanto – se não mais ainda – uma amizade verdadeira entre seres humanos pode ser?

Jesus quer ser amigo de todos – e para ser seu amigo é preciso obedecer a ele (João 15.14).

Enquanto esteve aqui, ele foi amigo de “pecadores” – como prostitutas e coletores de impostos, os ruins, desprezados pelos religiosos de sua época.

Isso mostra que Jesus usa critérios bem diferentes dos nossos na hora de escolher seus amigos. Jesus escolhia os desprezados!!!

Seja você também amigo de Jesus e um bom amigo de quem quer que seja, para que mais pessoas conheçam seu Amigo de Verdade.

Ter amigos é importante, mas ser amigo de Cristo é vital.

Queridos em Cristo

Graça e Paz em Jesus, nosso Senhor e Salvador.

Mais uma vez o Senhor Jesus ouviu nossas orações e recebemos a vitória na audiencia com relação ao visto do Rafael.
Nossos advogados nos prepararam para as possíveis perguntas que seriam feitas e programaram a sequencia em que seríamos entrevistados. Eles nos informaram ainda que o juiz normalmente declara seu veredito umas duas semanas após a audiencia e por carta.
Entramos na sala de audiencia e aguardamos a chegada do juiz. Assim que ele chegou, a Patricia, o Edgar e eu deixamos a sala, pois o Rafael seria o primeiro a ser ouvido, depois eu, seguido pelo Edgar e finalmente Patricia.
Claro que enquanto aguardávamos, orávamos para que o Senhor tocasse o coração daquele homem, que tinha autoridade para decidir ao nosso favor ou contra.
Ele perguntou as idades do Rafael e Edgar e suas profissões, comentando que já poderiam levar uma “vida independente”. Nossa advogada referiu o artigo sobre vida independente e ele começou a ler o processo e artigos, fazendo sinais para que ela parasse de falar todas as vezes que ela tentava acrescentar algum comentário, enquanto lia. De repente, parou de ler e disse “ok, vou decidir favorável a voces”. Receberão os minha decisão por escrito em 10 dias. Glória a Deus. Estava decidido, e audiencia terminou naquele momento.
Quando abriram a porta, me levantei para entrar e o Rafael já sorriu e disse que o juiz já havia encerrado o caso. Todos ficamos surpresos.
Agora, teremos que aguardar os 10 dias para recebermos a decisão por escrito do juiz e depois disso, mais 10 dias para ver se o Home Office nao entrará com apelo sobre a decisão do juiz, o que não cremos que farão.
Então, o passaporte do Rafael será enviado ao H.O. para receber o visto permanente.

Foi uma vitória da igreja, do Senhor Jesus, que usou sua vida para nos abençoar. Não foi uma vitória só da nossa familia, e sim de todos nós. Não lutamos sozinhos e palavra diz que se concordássemos acerca de alguma coisa aqui na terra, se orássemos e cressemos, seria ligado no céu.
Ligamos nossas orações no céu e o resultado foi aqui na terra, visível a todos nós. Somos testemunhas disso.
Na noite de ontem para hoje não consegui dormir, a tensão do momento me fez perder o sono e enquanto tentava dormir, eu orava, lembrava das promessas de Deus para nossas vidas como familia e também de quantas pessoas estavam intercedendo conosco.
Num determinado momento, comecei a ouvir uma música que falava a todo momento que a vitória estava ali do lado... do outro lado do rio e que eu não estava só... o Senhor estava comigo... Olhei no visor do ipod e vi o nome da música e hoje de manhã, quando tentei ouví-la novamente, simplesmente não era a mesma música...
É, Deus colocou uma música para falar comigo... Ele também falou com vários irmãos e irmãs que estavam orando ao nosso favor.

Sabemos que este é uma parte do plano de Deus paras nossas vidas e Ele está nos preparando para algo maior... Nossas vidas estão nas mãos poderosas do Senhor que nunca falhou e nunca falhará.
Mais uma vez, muito obrigado por seu amor e suporte.
Farei minhas as palavras do nosso querido irmão Asafe Borba em uma de suas canções - “Eu não sei o que seria de minha vida sem irmãos e irmãs ... sem a igreja de Cristo estar presente e viva ao meu redor...”

Talents from God

Talents from God
Sometimes we live our lives not worrying about things that surround us.
We don’t think about God, learning from God and God’s things as I heard some time ago.
We come to the church Sundays and we are satisfied with our weekly bit that we receive from our pastors. Others receive a little more because they go to a cell group during the week.
But there are others who want to know more about God.
They are really interested in learning more and being used by God.
In the Bible, there is a group of disciples who were learning from Elisha, the prophet.
It was like a school of prophets. Some people there could see the need of people, who could have a close relationship with God, could hear God’s voice and share with other people what God was speaking.
Today we are living days that people need to hear what God’s plan is and to show to the world that there is a solution for its problems.
Let’s read “2 Kings 6:1-2 – The company of the prophets said to Elisha, “look, the place where we meet with you is too small. Let’s go to the Jordan, where each of us can get a pole; and let us build a place there for us to live.”
Here we can see:
a) Someone was really interested in learning
b) They wanted more people to come and join them – as they thought the place was too small.
c) They wanted to pay the price – each of us can get a pole.
The prophet agreed and said: GO!!!!
But one of them had a deeper view of the situation – He realized that you can have a good school; good building but there was something very important to be added:
On the verse 3 we read: Then one of them said,” Won’t you please come with your servants?”
He understood that they were not experienced enough to do things by themselves. They still needed to be guided.
We can have good ideas, God can obviously speak to all of us and we should share to our leaders what God is showing us, but we should never keep them apart of our lives. It’s is very dangerous.
The prophet said yes and went with them – verse 4.
Don’t think your leaders don’t need your help. Put yourself available to be used. That’s the best way to learn.
As we continue reading we will see that they were all involved in their project.
Everyone wanted to give their contribution to the good work what was good. They were using their talents.
But one of them was using someone else’s iron axhead.
Everyone was using his own tool but tat one was using something that didn’t belong to him. Maybe he wasn’t used to it. It can be dangerous.
God has given us talents to be used at the church and you and I must use them for His glory.
Don’t think your talent is less important than your brothers’ and sisters’.
It doesn’t matter if you were called to preach or to pray. One can be seen by all people but the other can be seen by God.
Do your best to the Lord.
Let’s see what happened: verse 5 – As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. “Oh, my Lord,” he cried out “it was borrowed!”
Sa I said it’s dangerous when you use something that doesn’t belong to you – You can be in trouble, you can be ashamed.
You don’t know how to do it … don’t try to do it. It may seem to be easy but it can take you to a situation that is not going to be good for you and for the company.
Tools were very expensive on that time. Talents given by God are very precious at any time. Your talent is precious.
Nobody can do what God has called you to do. Of course if you say no to God, He will make a way to His will be fulfilled but I will cost a lot.
The example of it was the plan for man: to dominate the earth. To protect the earth and gave him talents for doing it. God asked Adam to do it but He didn’t force him to do it.
As Adam failed to do it, God had to send Jesus to repair Adam’s failure.
It cost time. It cost a life, Jesus life.
God used the prophet Elisha to repair the situation and a miracle was performed as you can see in the verse 6.
You have been given gifts from God to be used by the church, and I’m saying only by the local church you belong to. What are you doing with it?
Maybe you are thinking: I don’t know if I have been given any talent or if I have been called by God… What should I do?
Put your life before God and ask Him what he wants you to do. He will use a man of God to help you find your right place in God’s work.
I know God has called all of us and we should not neglect this.
I would like to invite you to pray right now, asking the Holy Spirit to visit our hearts and tell us what His will is.
If you feel that you need to repent for wishing to use a take talent that isn’t yours, do it.
If you need a help in prayer, let’s pray together.
Allow God to use all your potential and be a good tool in His hands.

Queridos irmãos, irmãs e amigos.
Bendito seja o nome do Senhor!!!

Finalmente, pela graça do Senhor recebemos nosso visto de Residente Permanente. Isto significa que de hoje em diante podemos morar, trabalhar no Reino Unido por quanto tempo quisermos.
Nosso filho Edgar foi o primeiro a receber o passaporte de volta com o visto e cremos que o Rafael receberá o dele muito em breve, em nome de Jesus.
Sabemos que esta vitória pertence à igreja e entendemos que o plano de Deus para nossas vidas se cumprirá.
Quando a Sibeli (nossa filha) e eu chegamos aqui em Londres em Março de 2003, nós tínhamos um visto de estudante válido apenas por um ano e éramos limitados a trabalhar apenas 20 horas semanais.
Então, 3 meses depois, a Patricia, o Rafael e Edgar vieram com as cartas da escola Life Line para também entrarem como estudantes e juntarem-se a nós e ajudarmos na Shalom International Community como estávamos fazendo, sob a direção do Pr. Charrier Bernardes.
Infelizmente, o Serviço de Imigração do Aeroporto Heathrow não permitiu que eles entrassem e eles foram mandados de volta ao Brasil após 8 horas de entrevista. Não há palavras para expressar o que sentimos naquele momento. Foi realmente muito difícil para todos nós entender o que aconteceu. Ficamos confusos e desapontados.
A Patricia e os filhos retornaram para o Brasil com tudo que possuímos no Brasil... as malas, pois tínhamos vendido ou dado nossos móveis, casa e etc. pois críamos que Deus havia nos chamado para morarmos no Reino Unido e sermos usados por Deus aqui.
Enquanto eles voavam de volta ao Brasil, nossa família, amigos e a igreja em Uberlândia prepararam uma casa e tudo para que eles pudessem esperar uma direção para as nossas vidas. Não estávamos para aquilo que aconteceu naquela noite terrível e não tínhamos idéia do que fazer. Era como um pesadelo e estávamos para desistir.
Nosso irmão Pr. Alan Goldstone ofereceu para nos ajudar a obtermos um visto de missionário e aquela foi nossa primeira e única opção. Foi uma esperança no meio da tempestade. Ele veio e nos deu uma carta convidando-nos para sermos missionários no Reino Unido sob a cobertura da igreja que ele lidera. As orações e as palavras dele ajudaram-nos a crer que Deus estava no controle.
Os meses passaram rapidamente e nós não entramos com o pedido para visto de missionário porque Deus não nos dirigiu naquele sentido. Cada vez que a Patricia, os filhos e eu falávamos no telefone era como um tormento e não sabíamos o que fazer.
Foi duro continuar e não conseguiríamos sem a ajuda da igreja e o suporte em oração e assistência de irmãos e irmãs em Cristo e nossa família.
Tive de começar em um nosso trabalho limpando banheiros em um shopping Center para ajudar a manter a Patricia e os filhos no Brasil e a Sibeli ajudou-nos muito e dando-nos todo o seu salário para ser usado de acordo com a necessidade da família.
Judy Wellington, nossa querida irmã e proprietária da Escola Life Line Learning Center foi tocada por Deus e ofereceu para ajudar-nos a conseguir uma “Work Permit” (visto de trabalho) através da escola dela e isto foi um alívio para nossas vidas, e Deus nos deu a confiança para começarmos o processo legal. A Permissão de Trabalho nos permitiria morar 5 anos na Inglaterra e então pedirmos o visto de residência permanente. Nossas vidas mudariam completamente. Nossa tristeza se tornaria em benção.
O processo foi lento e o diabo realmente tentou bloquear a benção do Senhor em alcançar as nossas vidas. Demorou quase 6 meses para recebermos Permissão de Trabalho concedida pelo Home Office e não antes de muita oração e jejum de muitas pessoas de vários lugares do mundo.
A Permissão de Trabalho permitiria que nossa família fosse reunida novamente e em Dezembro de 2003 nos entramos com o pedido de visto para a Patricia, Rafael e Edgar no Consulado Britânico do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Somente em Março de 2004 eles concederam o tão precioso visto e em Abril de 2004, após 1 ano e 1 mês separados, pudemos almoçar juntos como família novamente. E agora, com uma diferença, a Patricia e os filhos poderiam trabalhar sem nenhuma restrição. Louvado seja Deus.
Durante 6 anos temos aprendido muito do Senhor e recebido muito Dele. Temos visto milagres após milagres e muitas vidas sendo transformadas pela graça e misericórdia de Deus, em Londres, nossa base e em Reading e Oxford, onde Deus adicionou muitos membros à família celestial.
Bem, para encurtar as coisas, nosso visto de Permissão de Trabalho terminou em Novembro e entramos com o pedido para residência permanente e pela misericórdia de Deus um novo tempo começou em nossas vidas.
Verdadeiramente estamos convencidos de que Deus nos escolheu para servi-lo neste país e sabemos que é impossível fazê-lo sem suas orações e apoio.
Uma nova porta foi aberta e não podemos relaxar agora. Não é tempo de descanso mas para alinharmos nossas vidas de acordo com a vontade de Deus. Muito precisa ser feito. O diabo não dorme.
É hora de celebrar, mas também hora de perguntar ao Senhor qual é o novo passo.

Romanos 8:37 – “Em todas estas coisas somos mais que vencedores em Jesus Cristo nosso Senhor!!!!”

Dear brothers, sisters and friends
Blessed be the name of the Lord!!!!

Finally, by the grace of the Lord we received our “Indefinite Leave to Remain”, the Resident Permit visa. It means that from now on we can live and work in the United Kingdom as long as we want.
Our son Edgar was the first to get his passport back with the visa and we believe that Rafael will get his very soon, in the name of Jesus.
We know that this victory belongs to the church and we understand that God’s plans for our lives will be fulfilled.
When Sibeli (our daughter) and I arrived here in London in March 2003, we had a student visa valid only for one year only and we were very limited to work (only 20 hours/week).
Then, 3 months later, Patricia, Rafael and Edgar came with the Lifeline School letters to enter as students as well and join us and help at Shalom International Community as we were doing, under Pr. Charrier Bernardes direction.
Unfortunately, the Immigration Officers at Heathrow Airport didn’t allow them to enter and they were sent back to Brazil after 8 hours being interviewed.
There were no words to express what we felt on that moment. It was really hard for all of us to understand what happened. We were all confused and disappointed.
Patricia and the children returned to Uberlândia with everything we had in Brazil… their bags, as we had sold or given our furniture, house and etc as we believed God had called us to live in the UK and be used by God here.
While they were flying back to Brazil, our family, friends and the church in Uberlândia prepared a house and everything so that they could wait for a new direction for our lives. We weren’t prepared for what happened on that terrible night and had no idea of what to do. It was like a nightmare and we were about to give up.
Our brother Pr. Alan Goldstone offered to help us to get a missionary visa and that was our first and only option. It was a hope in the midst of a storm. He came and gave us a letter inviting us to be missionaries in the United Kingdom under his church covering. His prayers and words helped us to believe God was in control.
Months passed by very quickly and we didn’t apply for the missionary visa as God didn’t give us that direction. Every time Patricia, the children and I spoke on the telephone was like a torment as we didn’t know what to do.
It was hard for us to keep going and we wouldn’t make it without the church help and support of prayers and assistance from brothers, sisters in Christ and our family.
I had to start in a new job cleaning toilets in a shopping center to help to support Patricia and the children in Brazil and Sibeli helped me a lot working very hard and giving all her money to be used by our family needs.
Judy Wellington, our beloved sister and Life Line Learning Center owner was touched by the Lord and offered to help us to get a work permit through her school and that was relief for our souls as God gave us the confidence to start the legal process. The Work Permit would allow us to live 5 years in England and then apply for the permanent residence. Our lives would be completed changed. Our sadness would become a blessing.
The process was very slow and the devil really tried to block the blessing from the Lord to reach our lives. It took us about 6 months to have the work permit process to be given by the Home Office and not only after a lot of prayers and fasting of many people from all over the world.
The Work Permit would allow us to have our family reunited and in December 2003 we applied for Patricia’s, Rafael’s and Edgar’s visa at the British Consulate in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Only in March 2004 they were given the precious visa and in April 2004, after 1 year and 1 month separated, we could sit down and had lunch together again. And now, with a wonderful difference; as Patricia and the children would be allowed to work full time without any restriction. Praised be the Lord.
During these 6 years we have been learning from the Lord and received a lot from Him. We have seen miracles after miracles and many people being transformed by His grace and mercy of God in London, our base and in Reading and Oxford, where God added many people to our heavenly family.
Well, to make things shorter, our 5 years Work Permit visa expired last November and we applied for the Indefinite Leave to Remain Visa and by God’s mercy a new time has come to our lives.
We are truly convinced that God has chosen us to serve Him in this country and we know that it’s impossible for us to keep going without your prayers and support.
A new door has been opened and we can not relax now. It’s not a time for resting but to lean our lives according to God’s will. There’s a lot to be done. The devil doesn’t sleep at any time.
It’s time to celebrate, but it’s also time to ask our Lord what is the next step.

Come to Me

We are living days that life is getting harder and harder.
We are having to work harder and more and more but our earnings are getting less and less. The world economy is falling apart. The lords of the world are threatening us with a horrible future.
The god of this century is making people of their desire.
Everybody is struggling to survive, have the latest car, mobiles and computers.
People work harder to get what they want and as soon as they get it a sad reality come to them – it’s gone old… It’s not enough to have that one… The new is old now… the good is bad…
There is no time for family, for leisure time… There is no time for God.
Depression is one of the most common diseases of the moment and more and more people are committing suicide. Why?
We are living the “technology age” where things can be done very fast but instead of having more time relax, it seems that most people have to take their work home.
You can see people using their laptops in trains, airplanes, buses… everywhere.
Slaves … that’s the right word for today. Slaves of desires, addictions, work and diseases.
The devil is making people very busy so that they can not be free to serve and worship the Lord.
Real freedom in to be able to say yes to the Lord.

When someone wakes up and tires to fight for freedom, the devil comes against. The devil tries to endure your life when you wake up to God.
When Moses came into the presence of the Pharaoh and asked him to let the Israelites to go and worship the Lord, instead of letting them go, he gave them more work. Exodus 5:1-6.
When you receive a word from God, the devil will try to keep you very busy, maybe with work…or any other thing that will keep you away from God. The devil doesn’t want you to be free.
Even though the Israelites were slaves in Egypt, they were very used to that life. But when they hard about a new life, about the freedom that God wanted them to have, the devil made their lives harder…
At the verse 9 we read: “Make the work harder – so that they keep working and pay no attention to lies”.
But the word of God is not a lie. It’s the truth… Halleluiah.
Jesus said:”I am the way, the truth and the life”… John 14:6.
He also said: And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. John 8:32.
The devil is a liar and wants you to believe in his lies – His lies will kill you.
The Bible tells us that he (the devil) came to rob, kill and destroy you. John 10:10.
But you and I can receive life in Jesus Christ – And abundant life.
Are you feeling tired of your life? Nothing is making you satisfied? Does your life seem to be meaningless?
Jesus said: “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
This is the promise of the Lord for you and me.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me… For I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29.
Medicine can only treat your body, but not your soul. Only Jesus can heal you completely.
Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the way. When we learn from Jesus we learn the truth that set us free.
We are guided to walk in the right way and receive life.
But even when you know the truth that sets you free, the devil will come and try to persuade you to give up what God has promised you and return to slavery. Don’t forget that God’s promise is forever.
The miracle you need that will set you free is here for you today because Jesus is here. He is the same and He hasn’t changed.
Jesus wants you to be happy. John 15:11 – I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
Invite the Holy Spirit to live in you and you will be guided in all truth – John 16:13
The same power that was working in Jesus life will work in your life.
Don’t accept the lies of the devil that holds you in slavery and prevents you to receive the freedom that there is in Jesus Christ.
Come to me was Jesus words. He’s calling you today. It doesn’t matter how long you have met Jesus… Are you tired? Is your heart troubled? Aren’t you feeling in peace?
Come to Jesus, let yourself be involved by His love. Know Him and you will find rest for your soul. You will be free.

The Victory in Jericho

To be a winner we must go on a battle. You can not win a contest you need to defeat an opponent.
Are you in a battle? Do you have a battle that must be won in your life?
Are you facing giants that must be defeated? What giants are them? Which enemies do you have to overcome these days? Finances? Diseases? Relationship? Sin?
Today we are going to learn with a warrior how to get the victory. We are going to learn with a man of God how to defeat our enemy, how to be strong in the Lord.
How are you feeling at this very moment? Weak or Strong?
Slave: Joshua was born in Egypt at the time that Israel was a slave there. His parents were slaves, his destiny was to continue as a slave there… dying in slavery!
What else could he say? Israel had been there for 400 years…
Maybe this is the same feeling you have right now… you are a slave… slave of your addictions, diseases, financial problems, bad marriage …
Joshua saw great miracles being performed before his eyes and on that terrifying night when the tenth plague happened he could see God’s hands upon his life. On that night, all the eldest sons who lived in a house that the blood sign wasn’t seen by the angel when passing by in Egypt died.
He was following a great leader: Moses and he did from his young age – in the book of Numbers 11:28 you can see this.
God spoke to Joshua through Moses many times – Exodus 17:8-15
• Moses gave him directions and he obeyed.
He understood that Moses had a close relationship with God and that’s why he could trust in Moses and a man of God.
Moses, as well, recognized that he needed Joshua.
He was Moses right-hand and God sent messages to him using his leader Moses.
He was dependent of Moses and he learned and had many spiritual experiences with Moses.
Joshua Steps to Conquer to the Victory
First – Learn spiritual things from someone who has more experience than you. Be close to your leader, follow him, and ask him things that you don’t know. Ask him to pray for and with you…
Second Have your own experience with God, with the Lord – In Joshua 1:2 God spoke to Joshua “Moses is dead”.
Third – Believe that God will give you the victory if you believe in Him – Joshua 1:6, 7.
Fourth – Walk in God’s word – don’t make your own way – Joshua 1:7
God understand our human weaknesses – our fears, anxieties – That’s why He said to Joshua 4 times: “Be strong and courageous”
Fifth – Believe in God’s promises – He’s faithful to His word
When Caleb and Joshua returned from Canaan (the Promised Land) they had a positive opinion about what they seen. They were not afraid of the giants they had seen in the land. They believed God had given them the land. Numbers 14: 7-9
They said:
- The Lord will give us the land
- Do not rebel against the Lord
- Do not fear the people of the land (your enemy)
- The Lord is with us.
They didn’t believe in themselves but in God – Joshua’s name was originally Hosea, which means salvation, but it was c hanged to Joshua, which means The Lord is my salvation.
Sixth – Use God’s weapons – The Israelites had to march around Jericho for 7 days.
On the first 6 days they marched around Jericho for one time, but o the 7th day, they marched 7 times and then they shouted the victory shout.
Even not knowing how God would give them the victory, they obeyed the Lord. This is FAITH.
They trusted and obeyed God and got the victory.
What about you today? How can you be victorious today?
• Be strong and courageous –
• God will be with you – “Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you. “said God to Joshua – Joshua 1:3,5
• Believe and do whatever God asks you to do – This is called have faith
• Have a close relationship with the Lord –
• Be prepared for the battle.
• Cross the Jordan – enter in the promised land –
If you felt challenged today to face your giants and overcome them I would like to ask you to pray with me right now, taking a position of winner.
Lord Jesus, help me to win this battle. Be with me as you were with Moses and Joshua.
You have conquered my victory at the cross and I believe in you. In your precious name. Amen

Some thoughts re Discerning God’s Voice (all Bible refs from New King James version)

So many voices, so many crying out “I am right, follow me, follow my teaching,” or pushing aside the greatness of God’s redemptive plan in Christ, exchanging it for a watered-down gospel – often so subtle, it is hard to recognise.

Heb 13:9
Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, …

Isa 30:21
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.

How do we know? How can we discern the voice of the Lord?

1) Stay close to Him – priority and quality time every day. Read the Word. Learn the Word. Ask the Holy Spirit to daily speak through the Word. Ps 25:12-14
Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.
He himself shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth.
The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.
Then PRAY!
Ps 25:4-5
Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.
Communicate with your Father. Love Him. Worship Him. Sing praise to Him. Read a psalm. Remind yourself of the wondrous salvation that Christ has bought for you, of His redemption and His forgiveness in your life. If the Holy Spirit highlights some sin in your life or a place of error, confess and get right and let His cleansing and joy fill you. Thank God for His mercies new every morning – thank Him specifically for all His goodness in your life.

2) Submit to God first, not men (or women!)
Gal 1:10-11
For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.
But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.
Godly submission, as described in the Bible is unto the Lord and, only with God FIRST in our lives, can we then humbly submit to the wise and loving pastoring in our churches. But NOT willy-nilly to any old teaching or doctrine. It HAS to be under Christ – He is the Head of all things and of the Church.
Col 1:18
And He is the Head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the pre-eminence.
Only cults refuse to listen to their members and insist on absolute obedience. Our obedience is to Christ.

3) Be humble and receive one another in love. If you have doubts about a teaching or even something which seems, in our day of world communication thro’ the internet, to be gripping other Christians all around, it is important to remember that different things help different people. Some ideas or presentations may not help us, but they are helping some people. There are often differing perspectives. We can stand back and pray. Other things are possibly destructive, and if there are people in our care who ask us, then we can ask the Holy Spirit to give an answer through us.
Luke 21:14-15
"Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.”

4) Keep in fellowship. To keep ourselves in truth and to combat confusion it is important to have close friends and family in the Lord with whom we can share openly. We may have different ideas. That is healthy. It is the attitude of “I am right, and no one can argue with me” which is a precursor to being very wrong!! And pharasaical! Pray together, keep the Bible central and study together, honouring and praising Jesus Christ, and no one else.
Heb 10:23-25
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

5) Have a quiet heart, listening to the Holy Spirit – a “Mary heart” sitting at the feet of Jesus. He wants our hearts confident and secure in Him and in His words.
Isa 30:15
For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: "In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength."
A gentle quiet spirit will listen, hear and assimilate and the Holy Spirit has an opportunity to interpret to our heart what is going on. Dogmatism and opinionated thinking just shuts out the voice of the Holy Spirit.

6) God is holy! It is true and one of the wondrous joys of our salvation that God accepts us just as we are, and unconditionally loves us in Christ. BUT His holiness never changes. He is neither a God of compromise, nor a God of lukewarmness. His nature has no place for sin. He accepts us into His family so that we may be changed – “from glory to glory” and “from faith to faith”! Our Christian life has to be one of growth in holiness.
1 Pet 1:16 “…because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."
God’s desire is that we may represent Him to this world. Watch out for anything that would make God conform to our image, rather than the other way round!

Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

2 Cor 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Deus é um Deus de Aliança

Deus é um Deus de Aliança

Desde o princípio, Deus tem feito aliança com os homens. A Aliança que Ele faz com o homem é uma aliança eterna.

Por quê? Porque Deus é eterno.

A sua aliança com Deus tem que ser motivada pelo seu coração.

Uma aliança tem que ser feita entre duas pessoas; não há como fazer uma aliança sozinho.

Deus fez uma aliança com Noé (Gênesis 9:9-17). Deus viu o coração de Noé e por isso fez uma aliança com ele. Noé creu no Senhor, pois era temente ao Senhor, e por causa disso, sua casa foi salva. Seus familiares foram abençoados por causa da atitude dele. Sua casa também será salva por sua aliança com Deus.

Se creres será salvo tu e a tua casa. Atos 16:31

Com Abraão não foi diferente, Deus fez uma aliança com ele baseada na fé que Ele teve. Gênesis 15:6, 18.

Como já disse, há necessidade de dois lados para haver uma aliança. Ambos terão funções a desempenharem para que a aliança permaneça e o objetivo seja alcançado.

Em Gênesis 17:3-8, vemos a parte de Deus e suas promessas.

Em Gênesis 17:9-14, vemos a parte do homem.

Vemos que a promessa do Senhor extende-se para os filhos de Abraão e isto é confirmado com as passagens da bíblia que leremos a seguir.

Deus permanece firme naquilo que prometeu e Ele deseja que tenhamos a mesma posição de quando firmamos nossa aliança com Ele.

O princípio da “obediência” deve ser guardado, preservado. Melhor é o obedecer que o sacrificar...

Em Gênesis 26:1-5, vemos Deus repetindo a mesma promessa para Izaque e posteriormente em Gênesis 28:13-15 para Jacó.

Quando temos uma aliança com o Senhor, Ele cumpre sua promessa, e mesmo que uma circunstância o desvie da rota, Ele mesmo, o conduzirá de volta a ela... Ele prometeu estar sempre conosco, nos guardar e levar-nos de volta a terra prometida.

Quando o Pr. Charrier recebeu a visão de Deus de abrir uma igreja em Hanwell, bairro de Londres, Inglaterra, o Senhor operou milagres financeiros para que ele e o pequeno grupo de pessoas que estavam reunindo com ele, para reformarem o prédio alugado, onde a igreja funcionava. 25 mil libras foram gastos na reforma e Deus operou maravilhas ali.

Algum tempo depois, o Pr. Charrier deixou aquele trabalho nas mãos de outro pastor que não tinha a mesma visão e este pastor devolveu o prédio ao seu dono, mudando com a igreja para outro bairro.

Alguns anos mais tarde, em Março de 2003, O Pr. Charrier recomeçou a igreja em sua casa e seis meses mais tarde, a igreja retornou para Hanwell. Pela graça de Deus e porque Ele é firme em sua aliança, voltamos para o mesmo local, agora comprado por uma das irmãs que havia sido ajudada no início da obra lá.

Hoje, estamos alugando um novo local, maior, e Deus certamente, fará cumprir seu propósito para aquele lugar.

O princípio da obediência deve ser mantido de geração a geração para que tudo vá bem. Deve se passado de pai para filho para que as promessas e bênçãos sejam transferidas para a outra geração.

Cada geração precisa cumprir o seu papel e abençoará não apenas a sua, mas também, a geração vindoura.

Leia Deuteronômio 6:1-9 e 7:12-15.

Idade não é desculpa... Ser novo na fé não é desculpa. Temos que cumprir a palavra de Deus em nossas vidas e obedecermos ao Senhor em todo o tempo.

Josias começou a reinar quando tinha oito anos de idade e “fez o que era bom” aos olhos do Senhor. 2 Reis 22:1-2.

Ele se comprometeu em cumprir a aliança de seus pais com Deus e quando estava com 16 anos ele decidiu buscar ao Senhor, ter sua própria experiência com o Senhor e quando viu como Israel tinha se desviado dos caminhos de Deus, chorou, se arrependeu por Israel e clamou ao Senhor.

Deus lhe respondeu e Ele mesmo, leu para Israel o livro do Senhor, fazendo o povo se comprometer em cumprir a parte deles, cumprir a palavra de Deus, destruindo os altares e postes ídolos de todo Israel. 2 Crônicas 34:30-32.

Precisamos rever nossos conceitos, a nossa aliança pessoal firmada com o Senhor e observarmos se estamos cumprindo o nosso lado, pois Deus, certamente é fiel e firme em cumprir o lado Dele.

What name have you received from your parents? What does it mean?

Do you like your name?

David, Rebecca, Abraham, Mary – Good names, aren’t they?

What about Lucifer, Deceiver, Thief? Would you like to be called like that?

What name have your family received?

Bankrupted, destroyed, the losers or any other that came to your mind… now.

Let’s read Genesis 25:26 – Isaac gave a name to his second son – Jacob – it means deceiver – the one who grasps the other’s heel…

Year after year listening the same thing: Come here Deceiver, do this Deceiver… and etc.

Jacob was brought up as a deceiver and everybody knew him like that…

How have you been known? What’s the label that you have got?

Nobody is born to be a deceiver? A loser…

But you become what you believe… You get what you say… We have to take care of our mouth… what we say about other people and about ourselves.

Jacob believed that he was a deceiver and he started acting like that.

That was the highlights of his name. Everything he did was done by the deceiver… No way to change that…

Maybe you think that your life cannot be different.

His father didn’t like him – He was rejected – Verse 27

He started acting like the label he had – He started deceiving. Verse 29-34.

About Esau - When you don’t understand your rights before God you despise it – You give it for nothing… Verse 32 and 34

He gave up his right for a plate of meat… is his heart, the blessing that was on his right, meant nothing.

To deceive someone – To sin, you receive the help of everybody, even your mother. Genesis 27:8-10

The name will be used – Verse 20,21

You will insist on lying… Verse 24

Your family will confirm your status – Deceiver – Verse 36

But a deceiver doesn’t have peace – It seems that when you get your blessing, you have to give it up and flee away…

Life becomes harder and harder.

But let me tell you something: “ Even being a deceiver, the blessing that Our Heavenly Father gives us it’s ours… It belongs to us… He doesn’t change it

Genesis 28:1 and 4.

The devil will always tell you that the blessing God has given you, He will take it back… That it will not happen…

The great deceiver will steal your faith because it’s impossible to please God without faith.

God will always fulfil His promises in your life… You won’t have a half blessing. Genesis 28:15

Jesus is not a liar … He is the truth.

A deceiver will be also deceived. Genesis 29:18,21,25 and 31:7

How are you feeling today? Deceived by a situation? Lost…

God wants to fulfil his promises in your life….

For that you have to open your heart for him…

You have to return to the position where you were called – You have to be in the place where God wants.

You have to do things in God’s ways, not yours -Listen to God

Genesis 31:3

And if you obey Him, He will be with you. Genesis 32:1

Fight with God in prayers – He will bless you.

God doesn’t want to beat you but bless you

Genesis 32:23-30

It’s a personal experience – Nobody can take your place and do it for you. Verse 23

You have to persevere – verse 26

You will have your name changed – verse 29

Don’t despise what you have got in Jesus…

How can you have your name changed now?

Being born again, if you haven’t done it yet… John 3:1

God really wants to change your life and give you a new name. John 3:16

You have to invite Jesus to your life

Renounce your old name, your old life, your old style of life…

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you by the truth.

Preserve your new name… don’t eat again what you have vomited.

You cannot serve 2 gods.

Once, you have got your new name… keep going forward, not backward. Revelations 2:17 and 3:12

The Forgiveness of God

“Come now, let’s reason together,” says the Lord.

“Though your sins are scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are as red as crimson; they shall be like wool. Isaiah 1:18

When God forgives someone, He isn’t like the common justice that we have… that is always telling what you have done wrong.

God offers you the strength to overcome the sin power. You are not only considered innocent but receive from God the power to live a sinless life.

When you are forgiven, your life is changed… from inside to outside…

Let’s follow the example of King David…

In Psalms 51 we read:

Vs. 1 “Have mercy on me O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.”

First, we have to recognise our sins and also that only God with His grace can forgive us.

Vs. 2 “Wash away my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.”

That’s purification….. We must have a desire to be purified…. To have our life changed…. become pure.

We have also to recognise that our sins are against God… when we act according to our will, we disobey God… we sin against him

Vs. 4 “Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight.”

We have a sinful nature since we were born. Vs. 5
But God wants to implant the truth in our hearts…. and Jesus said: Know the truth and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

In vs. 10 we read: “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

David wanted to be transformed, changed by God.

Some people think they must be changed first to be forgiven, but we must be forgiven to be changed.

You can’t change your life by yourself… You can’t leave your sinful life by yourself…

You have to be forgiven, cleaned….

God’s love is unlimited; it goes beyond your imagination…

Isaiah said: “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his path.” Isaiah 2:3

God will teach us the way, but He will not force us to walk on it.

We can come before God with all our weakness and be forgiven…

Let’s read Isaiah 55: 6-7.

Today is a day that we can have our lives transformed by the Lord and this transformation starts when we present our hearts to Him, asking to be forgiven… to be restored…. From inside to outside….

Follow the Light

Follow the Light

You were created to have to have communion with God; to have a friendship with Him. Genesis 1:26. At that was very good. Genesis 1:31

The devil came to destroy this friendship and to destroy your life. John 10-10

The devil has put you in a prison for life… eternal life.

He has put in you a course that lasts forever.

Romans 3:23 – “All have sin” – It includes you and me.

Romans 6:23 – The salary of sin is death

But Jesus Christ came to redeem our lives – to set us free.

Isaiah 61:1-3 – He came to set us free from:

1. Our sins – the curse that sends us to eternal death

2. addictions

3. afflictions

4. the handcuffs that make our will become prisoner of our sins.

But you can be free through Jesus Christ

You will be free if you meet Jesus, the Son. He will set you free of your past. John 8:36

This process starts when you meet Him.

In Luke 3:37 we read that a sinner women came to the place where Jesus was.

She recognized His authority and that He was the Lord… how do we know it?

She came and bowed before Jesus… Lordship

She cried – repentance

She praised Him – anointed Him with perfume.

Someone looked at her appearance but He looked at her future. Luke 7:48/50

God sent Jesus not to condemn the world but to save it. John 3:16

The world is already condemned but you and me can be saved, have our lives and destiny changed.

Go and leave your life of sins – don’t sin anymore. John 8:11-12

Jesus said:” I am the light of the world – Follow the light and you will not walk on darkness… amen

We are in a process of healing in our lives

Pray: Lord Jesus, I know You are the Light and You can guide through Your ways.

Help me following you… forever. Amen

How does God speak to us?

In the beginning God used to speak to man face to face.
Every day, God came to Eden garden to talk to Adam and Eve at the end of the afternoon…
They had a good relationship … they were so friends that God gave man permission to name all animals.
After man sinned, man felt rejected by God, Adam and Eve tried to hide themselves from God.
Since then God has talked to man through different ways and he still talks to us today.
To Abraham, He sent angels to talk to him.
God appeared to Isaac and told to him not to go to Egypt (Gen 25:2)
Jacob dreamed and saw the Lord. God spoke to him using the dream. And then, in chapter 32 of Genesis, he met an angel…
Joseph had dreams and he also could interpret dreams.
To Moses, He spoke using the bush in fire… Exodus 3: 2-3
To the Pharaoh, God used Moses.
God also used to talk to His people through visions and with his voice: I Samuel 3:1-10.
He used his prophets to speak to his servants, to his kings…
I could stay here for a long time telling you how God speaks to his people…
Let’s read Hebrews 1:1-4
He uses his holy word…the Bible.

Why does God speak to man?
Because He wants us to know His will.
Because He wants that every man becomes free of their sins and become a new person living according to God’s will.

“All scripture is given by God and is useful for teaching, for showing people what is wrong in their lives, for correcting faults and for teaching how to live right. “ II Timothy 3:16

The truth brings freedom:

“If you continue to obey my teaching, you are truly my followers. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:31-32

How can God speak to us today? How does He reveal His will today?

1 – Through other believers - Some of the disciples were going to Emmaus, after the death of Jesus, but some women came to them and told them that Jesus was alive…Luke 24:22-23

2– Through the Scriptures – Then starting with what Moses and all the prophets had said about Him, Jesus began to explain everything that have been written about Himself in the Scriptures. (Luke 24:23)

3 – Through a burning heart – Listen, they said to each other, it felt like a fire burning in us when Jesus talked to us… Luke 24:37.

Sometimes we become confused about God’s will because we listen more to our fears than to God’s words… to our will, desires…

I can assure you that if we are attached to His words, we will never be in troubles… His word will protect us because they are the truth and eternal.

We also have to listen to our prophets today… and balance their words according to God’s words…

But we have to take care… God can use you and me to speak, but He respects the leadership’s principles...

Remember that when Aaron and Miriam talked against Moses they said, “Is Moses the only one the Lord speaks through? Doesn’t he also speak through us?

Miriam got a skin disease and Moses had to pray for her and for Aaron… Their journey was stopped for 7 days… Numbers 12:15

We can’t retain God’s word as Jonah tried to do… we can’t run away from Him…

Don’t be afraid … because the Holy Spirit is praying for us all the time …Romans 8:26-27.

Come close to the Lord … Try your best to know His words and He will always speak to you and through His word in you…

Praise the Lord oh my soul

Psalm 103 " Praise the Lord, Oh my soul; all my inmost being (all that is in me), praise His holy name",

Our attitude towards the Lord must be of praising and worshipping Him.

Praise the Lord, oh my soul, and forget not all his benefits – (all the things He has done)

As men (human kind) we have a tendency to forget things and focus only at the moment we are living now.
The Israelites forgot all the miracles God performed in their favour when they were living Egypt and started complaining about their food, the giants in the promised land and etc.

What has the Lord done for you and me?

The devil tries to put in your mind thoughts of things like: He didn’t do this or that for you…. See, God doesn’t care about you… that’s why you are suffering at this moment… Your car stopped working; you have lost your job and etc…

But, let’s consider some of the things the Lord has done for you and me…

He’s the one: Who forgives all your sins – that sends you straight to hell… eternal condemnation

And Heals all diseases,

Who redeems your life from the pit (grave), the bottom place…? Where were you before coming to Jesus?

And crowns you with love and compassion.

Who satisfies your desires with good things – He’s the father who gives to his child what he/she asks… so that your youth is renewed like eagles.

He’s the fountain of eternal youth ness.

The Lord works righteousness and justice for the oppressed – He’s the one who defends us and makes justice.

He made known his ways to Moses, He doesn’t want us to be lost, without a way, a vision; His vision.

The Lord knows everything about us and He’s always with us…. We cannot forget this, otherwise we will get lost…

We cannot forget what the Lord has done for us daily…

Are you rich? Do you want to be rich?

Start counting the things money can’t buy but you have it…. You are free…

You have the King of kings living in your heart and He will always be there…

When we remember this, we won’t fail … we won’t give our back to the Lord and return to our old style of life…

What’s the Life you have had and want for yourself…?

The Covenant Box

The Covenant Box - The presence of the Lord

God gave Moses an order – to make a box and cover it with pure gold and also put inside it the 2 tablets with his commandments.

Exodus 25:10, 11, 22

There, in the presence of the Covenant box, he would come and talk to Moses and teach him everything He wanted them to follow

The Covenant Box means the presence of God.

This is the place where God comes to talk to you, to talk to you, to heal you and to perform His miracles.

They couldn’t come into His presence by anyway. They should obey some rules. Leviticus 16:2

First: They should bring an offering:

For their sins (Aaron and his family)

For the people.

Second: They should be clean. Have a bath and wear clean clothes.

They couldn’t enter to His presence dirty

What did The Covenant Box mean for Israel?

Victory - They won battles with its presence.

The presence of miracles… they crossed the Jordan

The Covenant Box was in front of them, carried by the priest and they were following in a distance (1Km far).

Israel could see the presence of God, but they couldn’t come close.

When they didn’t have the presence of the Lord everything was wrong, they lost wars, people died. I Samuel 4:2-3

The Covenant Box was taken away and Israel became sad.

The Philistines took the Covenant Box to their god’s temple and many problems came to them…

God can’t inhabit a temple not built for Him. You can’t place God at any place you wish. They place prepared to God to live is in your heart

He blesses the place where his presence is…

Obede Edon’s house was blessed and all his family and business… everybody could see...

Every time Israel sinned – God’s presence was taken away…

We can’t go well without God’s presence

We have to cultivate it in our lives. How can we do it today?

We can have the presence of god with us today.

John 1: 14: The word became human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory that he received as the Father’s only son.

What shall we do then, to have the presence of God in us?

First: Understand that without Jesus you are separated from God.

Romans 3: 23 – Sin separate man form God

Second: Ask Him to clean you... I John 1:9

Confess your sins to be cleaned

Third. Repent and turn away of your sins.

Fourth: Invite him to enter your life: Revelations 3:20

Fifth - If you do it he will come to you Acts 3:19-20

He said he wouldn’t leave us alone. John 14:18

He will guide us. John 14:26

He will keep his promises – John 14:23 - I John 4:15

In Jesus

I am still not all I should be

I am still not all I should be

I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what was behind and straining. Philippians 3:13

“No… I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing … on… forgetting the past and looking forward…” the same passage in New language testament.

We all make mistake… (James 3:20). But what do we have to do with our mistakes? Keep them? … try to hide them?… kill the person who did them?…

Who is perfect? Nobody…

Paul said that he focusing on forgetting the past, but not only that… he was looking forward.

At that moment he wasn’t the person he should be, but he was looking forward to it…

The devil tries to focus in our past and in our wrong doings.

He wants us to get stuck in our past, full of sins, without motivation, not forgiven, going to hell, without the grace of God.

When we start thinking about our lives, our sins and our condition, we become upset, we want to hide ourselves… like Adam and Eve in the paradise.

That’s exactly the place the devil wants you and me to be… out of the presence of God… hiding from Him, running away of His presence…

Because in the presence of the Lord there is forgiveness, there is grace…
There is love…

In Isaiah 43:25 God says: “I, even, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”

By His mercy and grace, God knows you, wants to forgive you and he wants to use you to reach other people…

In the beginning of this chapter we can read God saying: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summed you by name; you are mine. Verse 1

You are not here by chance, God has called you by your name… Do you have any doubt about that?

Maybe he didn’t use your name to not expose you… but you could feel it … you know God was talking to you…

God wants to forgive you… I John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and jus to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

God has good plans for you and me and He expresses it in Jeremiah 29: 11 -
“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

When God said this, Israel was captive in Babylon… because of disobedience to God… even the preachers were leading them to astray.

God is telling you that the best days are to come…

How do you know that God still has a plan for you?
Because you are still breathing!!!! There’s hope. You can be changed.
You don’t have expiring dates on you… His plans don’t have expiring dates either.

Even if you have missed His plans for entirely for years, that plan can still swing into operation the moment you turn your life over to Him and fall in line with His will.

What do we have to do, then? Consider our lives… repent ourselves, ask to be forgiven… receive the grace of God … and move on… Don’t beat yourself…

As Paul said, let’s leave our past behind and look forward for what God has for us…
Let’s put our lives under God’s will and submit to ourselves to Him…

He will be always with us and he will use us…

Why don’t we do it now?

Lord God, I know I have lived my life according to my will not yours and this has made me a slave of my sins. It only takes away of your presence and to astray.
I want you to forgive and take my life in your hands…
Help me do your will and fulfill your plans in my life…
Help me to keep on moving for you…
In the name of Jesus, amen

The dreamer's of God's given Dreams

The dreamers of God's given dreams

Everybody has a dream. What’s yours? If you could do or have anything, what would it be?

Why don’t people achieve their dreams? Great things?

They give up… They get off the track … They set or dream too small.

When we get a dream, we have to go for it…

A dream involves costs, risks, perseverance… If id doesn’t have them it’s not a dream, it’s reality…If it is something that you can reach easily, it’s not a dream…

Dreams change you even as they change the world around you.

Joseph had big dreams given by God…God given dreams and that affected not only his life but his family, his nation and even Egypt.

Your dream may face resistance… After sharing his dreams to his brothers, Joseph faced a very big problem: His brothers wanted to kill him for his dreams. Genesis 37:19-20

Ludmila Ferber has one song that is about people trying to kill your dreams…

Who are you listening to? Maybe your family and friends want to kill your dreams. The closest people are the first ones to resist…

When people don’t have their own dreams are usually the first to criticize who have them.

Joseph had many problems before his dream came true… His family (Genesis 37:19-20), false accusation (Genesis 39:11-20, being forgotten (Genesis 40:23).

But God was always with him. Genesis 39:2, 21-22.

It took 16 years for Joseph’s dream be fulfilled, but he believed and persevered…

Don’t be afraid to dream too big. You don’t want to fail… nobody does…

Safe living leads to regret.

What’s the worst thing that could happen if you pursue your dream and don’t achieve it? You could end up where you are now… And what’s the best thing that could happen? You could find yourself in a new territory, enjoying new blessings, living the life God meant for you to live!

Do you have a dream to have many disciples? This is a dream given by God…
(Matthew 28:19)

Do you want to have success in life? Proverbs 16:2, John 10:10

Don’t allow anybody or any circumstance to kill your dream…

Don’t allow your past to make you give up your dreams because you have been forgotten… Hebrews 8:12, 10:17

How will you overcome all resistance and reach out your dream?

From a mustard seed you have o mustard forest…

With faith in your heart and trusting in your Dream giver.

With a close relationship with God through the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8

Big oaks grow from little acorns - When you discover your God-given dream and commit yourself to it, there’s no telling how far you will go or what kind of impact you will make…

The Wrong Boat

Don’t take the wrong boat

Yesterday; I watched a film that some guys bought a ticket to have a fantastic trip. Their travel agent lied to them and in the beginning everything was very nice… A very good and beautiful ship… good food … but when they realized what kind of trip was that…it was too late … They were in the middle of the sea. No way to leave that boat.

Yesterday, I also had an experience like that … I got the wrong bus home … fortunately, I realized very soon and could get off the bus and take the right one home.

In our lives, we can take the wrong way, wrong bus, train and sometimes we are able to notice we’ve got the wrong one… but sometimes … it’s too late.

Those boys were cheated by their travel agent … He just wanted to sell the tickets, get his money … He didn’t consider his costumer desire… what they would think and feel later and so on.

In real life there are many travel agents telling you something is good, some place is wonderful, not dangerous and when you get there, you have a great disappointment.

In Hebrews 13:14 we read: Here on earth we do not have a city that lasts for ever, but we are looking for the city that we will have in the future.

About spiritual life, many religions are selling tickets to paradise and people are buying them without knowing what is going to happen in the future… or to where they are going.

There is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25

Religion is men trying to reach God (This is something good) but not in the right way (This is bad).

There are things to be considered before traveling and while traveling … I want you to be aware about them… I want you to get the right destination…

The right way – Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and the life. The only way to the Father is through me. John 14:6 -

The right ticket. -God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him (Jesus) may not be lost, but have eternal life. John 3:16.

Jesus is the only One who can save people. His name is the only power in the world that has been given to save people. We must be saved through Him. Acts 4:12

Knowing the way. When I got the wrong bus, I soon realized that I had taken the wrong one because I knew the right way…so we must know about the way we are going to
Psalm 119:105 Your word is like a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.

Once found, keep on the way - We have to keep being changed by the Lord to do His will. Romans 12:2

Philippians 2:12-13: Keep on working to complete your salvation with fear and trembling, Because God is working in you to help you want to do and be able to do what pleases Him.

We have to keep going on... we can’t stop. When you plant a seed on the ground you have to continue the work, watering, feeding the plant, cleaning the place and then, after a certain time, you eat the fruit of your work.

Share Fellowship. When we are together, we can help one another to keep on the right way

And what should we do if we have lost the way or if we think that we are not on the right boat / way?

Consider your way – What is the situation now? Where are you? Hidden?
Repent of your sins – Confess that you have sinned. Ask Jesus to forgive you.
Ask Jesus to become your way, to give you salvation

We are called to be free

Freedom – Why did God give it to us?

We were called to be free – We were created at God’s image. Genesis 1:27

God gave freedom to man to eat everything but not the fruit knowledge of good and evil – Gen 2:16

God didn’t create any robot, God is not a robot.

When man sinned he became a slave of sin… John 8:34

Man is totally free to say yes or not to God.

The devil doesn’t treat man like that…

The ones who serve the devil are slaves and have no choice…

Slaves of addictions, money, sex, work and so on.

God didn’t create us to be slaves but to be free.

Free to serve Him.

Read Exodus 3:7

Moses had an Encounter with God and received a word of God: I will be with you.

Israel was called to be free to offer a sacrifice to the Lord, to worship Him. Exodus 3:18, Exodus 5:1,

But if you think your enemy will allow you to go free easily you are wrong.

He will ask you to stay; he will try to put some doubts in your mind.

When Moses and Aaron spoke to the Pharaoh he asked them: Who’s the Lord that I should obey Him and let Israel go? Ex 5:2

He also said to the people: go back to your work…

Don’t give ears to these crazy guys…

I will make your life harder…. Verse 9

And the people decided themselves to make a deal with the Pharaoh (verse 15)

He doesn’t want you to believe in your leaders…. They are too crazy.

He doesn’t want you to believe in your dreams… 17/18

He wants you to be discouraged because then you won’t give ears to God’s words, Exodus 6: 9

But God really wanted to have His people free. Verse 13.

You are free when you receive a word of the Lord.

Isaiah 61: 1 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed to preach good tidings to the poor, He has sent me to the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound”.

Jesus said to those who believed in Him,

“If abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:3132

He wants us free to serve and worship Him…

May your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ – I Thessalonians 5:23.

We can be free of:

Our sins: Romans 6:23

Demoniac Bondages – Acts 10:38

Ruin – Psalm 107:20

Affliction – Isaiah 63:9

How can you really be free?

Desire: Matthew 11:28-30

Identity the causes: give the names - Psalms 139:2

Repentance and confession: Luke 13:3

Faith – It’s impossible to please God without faith Hebrews 11:6

Take hold of the truth – John 8: 36

Pray and fast 17:21

The way to Success

The way to Success -

In Romans 8:37 is written that “we’re more than winners in Jesus Christ” and this is true, isn’t? So why do we keep failing and living like a loser?

· Nothing can separate us from God’s love – Romans 8:35

Our confidence must be in God – Jeremiah 17:7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.

· We have to be confident in Jesus, not in ourselves

He said: Without Me, you can do nothing (John 15:5)

If we fail on the way to success, God will correct our path: Romans 8:28
If your trials are long and you feel weak do like David – I Sam 30:6

· Be rooted to the Lord – “Let your roots grow down into Him and draw out the nourishment from Him. See that you go on growing in the Lord...” Colossians 2:7

Ephesians 6:13

· Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed John 14:27 – Don’t lose your peace in the storm.

Jesus is in the boat with you and He will take you safely to other side (Mark 4:35) …Let’s go to the other side

· Keep running …don’t stop I Corinthians 9:24-28

· The victory is Jesus in your life.

… Christ in You, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27

Spend time in His presence, be sensitive to His Spirit

· He will be you until the end.

God is God of Miracles

Our God is a God of Miracles

Since the beginning of the God has performed miracles…

The creation of the earth and men was great miracle. His creation, by his words was a miracle… all things, animals and man… and He saw that it was good…

When we read the Bible we see God performing many miracles, from Genesis to Revelations, the Bible tells us many miracles.

In the New Testament it is written that, if only the miracles Jesus has performed would be written …we would have to spend a lot of time to read all of them…

Let’s remember some of the miracles…and why does God perform miracles?

In Exodus 9:14 God spoke to Moses about that He would show His power to the king of Egypt to set His people free?

Then we saw the way God helped his people to set them free

God opened the sea and Israel could walk through dry land…

In the desert, every day, Israel could collect food from heaven – their daily portion… nothing for the other day … God wants to sustain us day by day.

Let’s see in the New Testament, Jesus performing some miracles:

His first miracle was turning water into wine – John 2:1-11. Wine represent joy, happiness … and it was gone in that wedding party… but Jesus could change it…

And He did it.

He raised Lazarus from the dead… John 11:1-44 even if you are dead… He can bring you life. He can overcome the death…

He has healed many people.

He healed a man with a skin disease … “Don’t tell anyone about this. But go and show to the priest … to show his power. Matthew 8:4

He calmed the storm… Matthew 8:26/27 – To show He had power to overcome wind and waves…

He healed a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years when she touched Him. Mark 5:29

As I said before, I could continue talking about many other miracles, but we don’t have time for that… so I want to make a question: What miracle do you need in your life?

In 2003 we needed £560 to pay the tickets my wife and sons used when they came to the U.K. We had a part of the money and nowhere to take the other part of the money… and of course, we had God… That week, God opened many extra classes and work… for me and for Sibeli and we could get the amount of money we needed… Halleluiah.

We need some more miracles, and I really believe God’s able to perform them again.

But there are some steps that must be followed before …

Moses had to touch the waters … First, he believed that God was speaking to him and obeyed…

We must have faith …” Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1

I king 17:1-16 First we see the prophet being fed by ravens and then by a widow who had only some four and some oil…

Elijah obeyed and the widow as well…

There is one thing that not allow God act to your favour: sin

Isaiah 59:1-2 - So what do you need to do… is repent yourself and go back to God through Jesus…

I John 1:9 – If we confess our sins He is faithful to forgive our sins.

And He wants to perform miracles in your life…

Trust in Him.

We all have thoughts about ourselves…

When you see your image in a mirror what do you think about you?

What kind of thoughts other people have about you?

What does God think about you?

Our attitude towards God is motivated by the thoughts we think God has about us…

Adam: “I heard you in the garden in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked so I hid. Genesis 3:10

Could Adam really hide himself of God? His condition, his sin…

Caim: My punishment is more than I can bear. Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence… I will be restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” Gen 4:13

Is God wrong? Does He want to make your life worse?

What about His Righteousness?

God didn’t want to kill him… Gen 4:15

Abraham and Sarah: Genesis 18: 10-13. Are you too old to do things?

Is there anything impossible to God?

Let’s jump to Moses, when he was called to set the Jews free.

Exodus 3:10-13,

Well could be describing many people of the Old Testament, but let go to the

New Testament…

Maybe you think God can’t go to your house…because you don’t deserve... like the Centurion but he believed in the authority and power of God…Matthew 8:3

Maybe you feel rejected: Matthew 15:21-22

Maybe you are too good – Matthew 19: 20-22

Too sinner – Luke 7:36-39 …. 48-50.

Maybe you feel That God doesn’t pay attention to your offerings…Matthew 21:1

God sees you perfect… He created you and me to be perfect, to have fellowship with Him…

When Jesus spoke to the prostitute (sinner) He didn’t see her as a prostitute anymore, but someone who was cleaned,

That’s why He said Go and don’t sin anymore…

God said to Moses: I will be with you. Exodus 3:12

He will be with you all the time; He’ll use you and give you the right words.

Luke 12:12
